Your TEENS will love this summer program. Fifteen fun filled hours over three weeks. They will enjoy many different dance disciplines, from jazz to contemporary, Hip Hop to latin partnering, it’s all about technique and performance.

JULY 9^th - JULY 13^th. | 1PM-3.30PM.

Your little ones will love this summer program.

Over 12 fun filled hours of dance, song, crafts and the occasional snack. Featuring ballet, tap and musical theater, they will learn dance steps and dance terms while listening
to some great music. As if that wasn’t enough, they will be making a little something to keep as a memento, and they’ll perform a mini show for you at the end of the session.

KIDS SUMMER INTENSIVE
JULY 16^TH- JULY 20^TH. | 12:30PM-4PM.
This is going to be a great program, your children will be dancing a number of different styles, Jazz, contemporary, tap and hip hop over this packed 17 1/2 hour program. We will be catering to all levels, so whether they are beginners or established dancers there will be something for everyone. There will be a short performance at the end of the program, for parents to enjoy.

It's true, from the 19th to the 23rd December, we will be hosting a free week. Whether your an adult or a tot, you are welcome to try as many age appropriate classes as you wish. The only requirement is that you are a new student. This is the schedule for all classes from tot to adult, any questions call Amanda on 203 341 8900.

If you haven't tried our dance school yet, now is your chance. Feel free to bring your child along to as many of the following classes as you wish, FREE OF CHARGE. Your child will get to dance, meet with the teachers, and tour our wonderful studio. No need to call, just come.

4pm Tots in Tights, a mix of ballet, tap and musical theater for kids age 4-6yrs.
5pm Tap 1, kids age 7-10, entry level tap.

TUESDAY
4pm Jazz 1, kids age 7-10, entry level jazz.
5pm Teen Jazz, teens 11- up.

WEDNESDAY
4pm Tots in Tights, a mix of ballet, tap and musical theater for kids age 4-6yrs.
5pm Contemporary 1, kids age 7-10, entry level contemporary.

SATURDAY
9am Step it up (level 2 of Tots), will not be a trial class due to holiday. If you feel this is the level for your child, we can have him/her try out on another day.

FRIDAY NIGHT FASHION | Oct 21st 2011

Join us for a night of fashion, dance, live music and cocktails.
6.30pm at Capels Rugs. After, upstairs at The Dance Collective, 222 Post Rd West, Westport.

Together with Capels Rugs and Winged Monkey. The Dance Collective is raising money for Neighborhood Studios. This is a wonderful opportunity to change a child's life, a chance to introduce them to the arts, and maybe spark an interest in music and dance, drama or art.

For a mere $30 you can see the latest fall fashions from Winged Monkey, modeled by some sassy ladies from The Dance Collective, listen to a performance by the Jazz ensemble from Neighborhood Studios, and then walk upstairs and enjoy cocktails, live music and perhaps a spin around the dance floor, at The Dance Collective.

Can't make the party? no problem, $20 gets you in to see the Fashion show only.

Other Plans that night? Make a donation anyway, it's for a great cause.

The Dance Collective have added some new talent to the studio, starting August 29th. You will be seeing some new faces. For Hip Hop, Kids and adults, we have the very talented Brian Herman, part of the very successful Hip Hop Dance group Double up. We also have Cynthia Isolde, she will be teaching Kids, Teens and Adults pre and beginner ballet. She is an unbelievable find, with tons of experience. We will be offering tap for the first time at the studio, with a fresh, up and coming dancer, Christine Cody. she will be teaching kids and teens. And last, but by no means least, we have the fabulous Sally Lombardo, she is a wonderful, nurturing spirit, with a very strong background in dance and music. She will be taking care of our Tots and Step it up programs. Come to the studio the week of the 29th August 2011, and your kids can try out the classes and meet the teachers at no cost.

Thank you to the DMA for organizing the event, it was great fun. Thanks to Catherine for the wonderful performance by the Tots, they were amazing as always. New Instructor to join The Dance Collective

Join us in welcoming Jonny to our studio. A young and very talented dancer. Jonny brings great energy to our hip hop program. He has taught all age groups for the past 5 years, teaching in various school programs, Randall's Island Park and PACC. He has worked as a back up dancer for The Pussy Cat dolls, and Rhapsody, and some of our younger students may recognise him from I Carly. He has trained in jazz, ballet and hip hop. He will be teaching Teen hip hop and Young adult hip hop classes on Fridays, starting in February. He will also teach the occasional adult hip hop class, check schedule for details.
